Campus Poetry Walk – Deadline Coming Soon!

Reminder to ALL writers!

The first ever Campus Poetry Walk, hosted by The Library and the Writing Center, is coming up this semester! This event is scheduled to happen in April this year, but the deadline to submit your poem is coming up quickly!

The Poetry Walk is a showcase that will feature your poems on laminated posters in a walking “trail” across campus. With the theme, Celebrating the Spaces We Live In, the event will feature physical posters with student’s poems, as well as an accompanying digital exhibition. The Poetry Walk will run for the month of April, which happens to be National Poetry Month!

There will also be a keynote speaker: former poet Robert Pinksy, who will be coming to campus on April 18 at 4:30pm.

The due date for submissions is Monday, February 13. There will also be two writing workshops you can attend on Wednesday February 8 at 7:00pm and on Tuesday, February 21 at 7:00pm. Both workshops will take place in GHH 106, facilitated by alumni English Major, Jesse Ramos!
