Today we are spotlighting two RWU students: RyRy Goodell and Mary Drasheff!
Ry Ry and Mary are the kickstarters for StageCo’s (RWU theatre and performing arts club) first ever student run show, Murder Among Friends!
RyRy Goodell (He/Him) is a Theatre Arts Major and Creative Writing Minor. He is the Production designer for Murder Among Friends.
“As Production Designer, I will be overseeing the entire production and designing/executing everything related to the performance other than acting. Things that I will design (or oversee others design and approve) are lights, sound, costumes, props, set, artistry, promotions, and box office.
I am most looking forward to seeing my collaborative work be displayed in the Barn, in a place where all students who have a passion for the performing arts come together. I am most excited knowing that this is an all student production where students are putting in the work, led by other students, and students creating a positive atmosphere for the theater department, all of Roger Williams University, and the entire community.
Putting on this show is also a huge step for StageCo, boosting their credibility and efficiency in putting together something that makes an impact on the community and the hardworking students/members of StageCo who have skills beyond our comprehension.”
Mary Drasheff (She/Her/Hers) is a Senior Communications and Media Studies major, with a Web Development minor and Theater core concentration. She is the Director of Murder Among Friends.
“I focus on all the acting and blocking of the show! I also oversee other production aspects such as lighting, sound, costumes and props!
I am most looking forward to seeing all of StageCo’s hard work and dedication come together! We are incredibly lucky to have such amazing and talented members that love theater and put their all into everything they do. I’m so fortunate that we have this opportunity to showcase our members and do something out of our comfort zone.
I’ve been a part of StageCo since my freshman year and I’m so proud that this will be a part of mine and the rest of StageCo’s legacy.”
