Last week, the London crew visited The National Portrait Gallery, where there are many portraits displayed of past kings and queens, famous pop culture artists, and modern celebrities.
Above are a few of Sophia’s favorites from the gallery: Katherine Parr (far left), who was one of the six wives of Henry VIII, Dame Anna Neagle (middle) who was a famous actress in the 1930s, 40s, and 50s, and Sir Andy Murray (far right), who is an Olympian and Wimbledon tennis champion.
Sophia’s personal favorite is the Sir Andy Murray portrait. It not only caught her eye as a tennis player herself, but it is a beautiful piece of artwork capturing so many aspects of the sport and the champion in the portrait.
The Gallery itself is beautiful, and the plethora of portraits displayed are very exquisite. And so many of them, especially the modern pieces, are so different from each other that your eye is always attracted to something worthwhile.
